I know how tough it is as an author to continually grow and find new venues for your book and advertisements. One way to get around all that is to work with other authors and site owners to purchase ads and links. I'm now selling links and ad space on my website at a very inexpensive price. All the money collected will be used to promote the site, increasing visibility for everyone involved. Some of my marketing plans include blog and website features, tweetfests and Newswire services.
